Registered Nurse

WK Preferred Pediatrics is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate nursing care for patients in the Physician Clinics. The role involves patient and family teaching, leadership within the care team, and collaboration with ancillary nursing staff and other personnel.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients systematically and use assessment data to plan appropriate nursing care.
• Implement care based on professional standards of nursing practice.
• Assist the physician with the patient’s plan of care and monitor patient responses to nursing interventions.
• Identify learning needs of patients and family members and address them through teaching.

Requirements

• Pediatric experience is required.
• Current RN License to practice in Louisiana.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

A department orientation will be provided based on experience and comfort level, along with a required hospital-wide orientation upon hire.
