Staff Nurse

About the role

The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care grounded in biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences. They assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct family-centered care for individuals or groups within their scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care across age groups, addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs.
• Demonstrate leadership, mentorship, and professional duties, including precepting new staff.
• Engage in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and evidence-based practices.
• Support provider collaboration, promote efficient operations, and ensure excellent customer service.
• Utilize informatics and technology systems, and adapt to temporary assignments across different units as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or obtaining within 5 years)
• RN licensure in Ohio
• Basic Life Support certification
• Minimum of one year of healthcare experience preferred

Skills

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with electronic medical records (preferred)
