Staff Nurse
About the role
NHS Ayrshire and Arran is seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join the adult mental health inpatient team at Woodland View facility within Ayrshire Central Hospital site. The role involves providing high-quality nursing care, person-centred interventions, and nursing therapies as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for individuals with mental health difficulties.
- Support the nursing team in delivering safe and effective clinical practice.
- Aid in enhancing patients' experiences of care.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse on Part 3 of the NMC register.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of care for people with mental health problems.
- Positive attitude towards improving the care experience of service users.
- Willingness to engage in training opportunities to enhance knowledge base.

- Professional development evidence.

Pay
The salary advertised is based on a full-time contract and must be pro-rated for part-time positions. Sponsorship is not guaranteed and is assessed on a case-by-case basis following interview and at the commencement of pre-employment checks.
Schedule
Permanent post 36 hours per week and a part-time RMN covering for maternity leave.
