About the Role
The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient-centered care for individuals or groups within their scope of practice, addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all ages and developmental stages.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient-centered care for individuals or groups.
- Address physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all ages and developmental stages.
- Demonstrate leadership, mentorship, and professional duties, including staff education, precepting, and quality improvement.
- Support collaborative teamwork with providers to ensure efficient, high-quality pediatric care and excellent customer service.
- Utilize informatics, technology, and evidence-based practices.
- Perform systems-based duties.
- Flexibility to be assigned to different areas as needed; other duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or obtained within 5 years.
- RN licensure in Ohio.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year healthcare experience preferred.
Skills
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with electronic medical records (e.g., EPIC) and Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and commitment to quality patient care.
