Staff Nurse

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Staff Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care within a recovery-focused residential setting for individuals with serious mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Administering and monitoring medications, including injections, and assisting residents with self-administration.
• Conducting health assessments and coordinating medical care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and evidence-based nursing practices.
• Supporting residents’ physical and mental health goals through health and wellness care, psychoeducation, and therapeutic interventions.
• Documenting clinical information accurately and complying with safety and regulatory standards.
• Assisting residents with daily living activities and leading social, educational, and community activities.
• Participating in team meetings, quality improvement, and crisis response.
• Ensuring proper coverage during staff absences and adhering to organizational policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; BS in Nursing preferred.
• 1-2 years of mental health or related experience preferred.
• Current nursing license required.
• Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license, own transportation, and eligibility to operate program vehicles.
• Forensic experience is advantageous.
