Staff Manufacturing Engineer
Role and Responsibilities
Support the strategic transformation roadmap from low‑volume, craft-based assembly to high‑volume, repeatable, scalable production.
Lead the design, modeling, and optimization of production line layouts using AutoCAD (or equivalent tools), ensuring alignment with takt time, workflow efficiency, ergonomic principles, material flow, and future automation.
Lead development of real‑time visual analytics dashboards that provide insights into cycle times, OEE, quality trends, machine performance, workforce productivity, and process stability using tools such as Power BI, Ignition, Grafana, Tableau, or industry equivalents.
Oversee PFMEA, process validation, and risk mitigation strategies tied to high‑volume operations.
Lead sitewide Lean initiatives and operational excellence programs (Kaizen, VSM, 5S, SMED, PFEP, Standard Work) to eliminate waste and optimize flow.
Able to build dynamic staffing models and capacity analyses for labor and equipment, identifying bottlenecks and scenario-modeling alternative staffing strategies.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, chemical engineering or related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in mid- to high-volume assembly environments with increasing technical leadership and system-level ownership.
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD (or similar) for layout design and factory optimization.
- Hands-on experience with factory data systems (MES, Oracle, Tulip).
- Strong collaborator and change leader who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing environments, aligning diverse stakeholders around shared operational goals and driving accountability through data, clarity, and trust.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related discipline.
- Familiarity with IoT/IIoT sensors, and digital manufacturing systems.
- Expertise using modern visualization and industrial analytics tools such as Tableau, Ignition Perspective, Seeq, Tulip, or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours per shift.
- Occasionally lift/carry up to 25–50 lbs.
- Use hands and fingers to operate machinery controls and computers throughout the shift.
- Visual acuity sufficient for product inspection and reading digital/printed materials.
- Ability to perform essential tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in required areas (safety glasses, safety-toed boots).

Compensation
Total compensation for this position includes standard company benefits and is based on various factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience. Salary Ranges: $95,100.00 - $136,900.00.
