Manufacturing Engineer

As a Manufacturing Engineer in Anoka, MN, you will own manufacturing projects from start to finish. You will troubleshoot manufacturing issues and lead root cause analysis (RCCA) to implement effective, lasting solutions. The role involves managing Engineering Change Orders and supporting CAPEX requests while mentoring other engineering technicians along the way.
Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing projects from start to finish, including creating project plans, managing budgets, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Facilitate process improvements using Lean manufacturing tools (e.g., Kaizen, 5S) to optimize layouts, improve material flow, and reduce waste.
- Support capital expenditure (CAPEX) requests, including justification and implementation of new equipment.
- Design and develop fixtures to support production and improve quality.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and lead root cause analysis (RCCA) to implement effective, lasting solutions.
- Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and review/update manufacturing documentation, such as work instructions.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to a small team of manufacturing engineering technicians.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or other related technical degree required.
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience preferred.
- Extensive experience with Lean manufacturing principles and tools.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and statistical analysis software (Minitab preferred).
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred) and PLM systems (Enovia preferred).
- Strong technical writing, communication, and project management skills.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to pass a background check.

Pay
$76,000.00 - $141,100.00 Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
