About the role
Qualcomm is seeking an experienced power electronics engineer to develop a new product line focused on machine learning inference acceleration in the cloud. The role involves product development, including power design, management products, and voltage regulator selection. The engineer will work closely with cross-organization colleagues to ensure the board meets power delivery requirements. This position requires expertise in various engineering disciplines and the ability to analyze and validate power metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years, or a PhD with 2+ years.
- Expertise in power electronics, power management, and high bandwidth/low latency control interfaces.
- Experience with design and simulation tools such as MATLAB, SIMPLIS, Excel, and Mentor Graphics.
Responsibilities
- Specify board-level power design and manage power management products.
- Conduct post-silicon board/SoC test validation and power correlation.
- Provide schematic/layout guidance to the CAD team and conduct design reviews.
- Analyze test results to ensure sufficient design margins have been achieved.
- Support SoC, software, and firmware teams during development.
Pay
$121,400 - $182,000 per year
