About the role

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a key component of the Missile Defense System. It supports the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels. This role is essential for managing dependencies, tracking risks and opportunities, overseeing technical problems, and ensuring efficient engineering processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage dependencies between teams within the Global Engineering Management Portfolio and support the EPM in managing external dependencies.
  • Identify and track all Risks and Opportunities.
  • Identify and track iteration events and releases related to Operations.
  • Oversee and document team technical problems and their resolutions.
  • Support proposal development by authoring and reviewing BOEs and Engineering Estimates.
  • Ensure the team's technical commitments are clearly understood and met or exceeded.

Requirements

  • Current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher.
  • Current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM Systems Engineering or related field from an accredited university, or a Master’s degree in a STEM-related field, or a PhD in a related discipline.
  • Experience with C2BMC and/or the Missile Defense System.
  • Experience with executing Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Experience in project management.
  • Experience leading teams.
  • Experience in generating operations metrics.
  • Showcased excellent communication abilities.
  • Experience in C2BMC Global Operations and Maintenance leadership.
  • Experience managing and delivering operational capability for complex DoD systems.
  • Experience in preparing proposals.
  • Comprehension of Earned Value Metrics (SPI, CPI, TCPI).
  • Experience in Cost and Schedule.
  • Clarification of Variances - ETC and EAC.
  • Experience in executing Agile Methodology.

Qualifications

  • Current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, etc.).
  • Current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application.
  • Completion of Systems Engineering Graduate Certificate Program (Ex, UCSD, Stevens University, MIT, Caltech).
  • INCOSE Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) Certification.
  • Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional - Model User (OCSMP - MU) Certification.
