Staff Engineer II
About the role
At HR Green, our Transportation teams deliver roadway and drainage solutions that improve safety, mobility, and quality of life. As a Staff Engineer II, you'll work alongside experienced engineers on a wide variety of transportation projects while gaining hands-on experience and exposure to the full project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning, design, and delivery of roadway, highway, and intersection improvement projects
- Aid in preparing roadway plans, specifications, and technical reports
- Assist in storm sewer, culvert, and drainage infrastructure design for transportation projects
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to evaluate drainage systems and develop infrastructure solutions
- Support environmental permitting and regulatory compliance activities
- Conduct field investigations and support construction-phase activities
- Communicate with project teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
- Collaborate with engineers across multiple disciplines to deliver successful projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or the ability to obtain within six months
- 4 years of civil engineering experience with roadway or drainage experience preferred
- Experience with Civil 3D, ArcGIS, OpenRoads Designer, or related engineering software is a plus
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- A desire to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibilities
