What You'll Do
- Provide expertise in a suite of technical tools and products in a given domain to ensure solutions are safe, secure, compliant and reliable.
- Identify, develop, and support needs, as well as taking on design responsibilities supporting project tasks.
- Facilitate dialogue and activities to ensure team collaboration including teams outside of your domain.
- Develop effective presentations and narratives for their teams.
- Lead the strategic planning of a project as it relates to technical solution design.
- Design and implement engineering principles aimed at reliability practices and sound recovery procedures.
- Design transaction specific application performance monitoring metrics that can be captured and passed to business partners.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations and procedures while also ensuring compliance with IT policies, procedures, and industry standards.
- Develop desktop procedures when needed that others follow.
- Design and implement Microsoft Teams Phone solutions, including Direct Routing.
- Architect PSTN connectivity strategies, including SIP trunking, carrier integrations, and failover routing.
- Lead migrations from legacy UC platforms (Cisco, Avaya, etc.) to Microsoft Teams.
- Define dial plans, voice routing policies, emergency calling (E911), and compliance recording solutions.
- Review existing integration capabilities, automation options, and proposed solution designs for feasibility, cost, and functionality in coordination with internal departments.
- Help assess the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and contributes to improvements where appropriate.
- Complete work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service.
- Provide rotational on-call support 24x7.
What You'll Need
- 7+ years of related experience in IT App Support, IT Development, IT Networking, or similar field.
- Bachelor's degree in related field required.
- Previous senior technical leadership preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general Financial Services or Banking is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
- Advanced proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Additional experience with pipeline development and leveraging Azure DevOps while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Advanced ability to see the big picture and align projects with organizational goals.
- Capable of leading and motivating cross-functional teams.
- Expertise in resolving conflicts and addressing challenges as well as skilled at identifying and mitigating risks at the project level.
- Proficient in governance patterns tied to intake, technical reviews and architectural compliance.
- Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
- May require up to 25% travel.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Teams Voice architecture, Direct Routing, PSTN technologies (SIP, ISDN, VoIP protocols), SBC platforms (AudioCodes, Ribbon, Oracle, etc.).
- Familiarity with Conditional Access and Zero Trust principles, encryption standards (TLS, SRTP), audit and compliance frameworks relevant to financial institutions.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to provide clear instructions.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
