Join us in creating an energy resilient world for a better future! We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team focused on developing, testing and optimizing printed circuit board (PCB) solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead parts of new product development from concept validation through design for manufacturing of analog, digital, RF and mixed signal electronic circuit designs for residential power systems.
- Contribute to sustaining efforts for existing product line.
- Collaborate with teams to define electrical hardware requirements, specifications and architecture.
- Define and conduct hardware functional, environmental, and lifecycle validation test plans to ensure reliability and performance.
- Contribute to product safety, EMC, and environmental compliance efforts.
- Support hardware troubleshooting during product development and testing.
- Document electrical system design, architecture, and implementation details.
- Use standard electronics laboratory tools including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, DMM to analyze, debug and document proper operation of electronic circuits and systems.
- Occasional development of custom electrical equipment for specialized features or functions.
- Collaborate in developing electrical hardware development tasks, project timelines and budgets.
- Mentor less experienced team members in electrical engineering design and development.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
- Master’s Degree is preferred
- 6+ years of work experience dependent on educational background
- Experience collaborating with or leading technical teams in developing electrical hardware
- Experience with circuit capture and PCB design tools such as OrCad
- Experience with wireless systems ideally including BLE, Wi-Fi, ISM, and LTE
- Experience with electronic circuit board modeling and simulation techniques such as PSpice
- A working knowledge of microcontroller, microprocessor, memory, ADC and communications technologies
- A high level of motivation and ability to collaborate effectively in a team and independently to achieve results
- Preference to those who have the following experience: design for high volume manufacturing and end of line test systems, experience with compliance for collocated radio designs with regulatory agencies such as FCC/IC, protocol specific certs, PTCRB, and international compliance specifications, experience working with controls systems used for power systems, strong communication skills across diverse audiences, experience contributing to C/C++ software for embedded systems during board bring up and test

Pay
The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. The Salary range for this position is $98,900.00-$125,600.00.
Schedule
This role follows a hybrid schedule, with 2–3 days per week onsite in Kohler, Wisconsin.
