Responsibilities
- Support the Lead and Senior Electrical Engineers to develop schematic and construction drawings.
- Aid in code analysis and cost estimates to meet project requirements.
- Perform electrical load calculations, short circuit, and voltage drop analyses for lighting and power distribution systems.
- Develop one-line diagrams, panel schedules, and equipment schedules under the direction of senior engineers.
- Conduct code research and documentation for all applicable codes and standards.
- Collaborate with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and structural disciplines to ensure compliance with design requirements.
- Prepare technical specifications, narratives, and basis of design documentation.
- Review shop drawings, product submittals, and RFI’s, and assist with responses during construction.
- Utilize electrical software such as SKM Power Systems Analysis, AGI32, Revit, and AutoCAD.
- Maintain organized project documentation in accordance with QAQC procedures and firm standards.
- Assume responsibility as the Electrical Project Engineer for small projects and coordinate work with all disciplines.
- Attend meetings and prepare minutes of meetings.
- Conduct site visits and field inspections of electrical systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) degree (Preferably passed EIT).
- A minimum of 2+ years of direct experience in related electrical engineering design.
- A proactive personality with a solutions-based approach to problem-solving.
- Good written and verbal communication skills (English language) and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Word, and Excel (Microsoft Office).
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred.
- A valid Driver’s License is required.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is not required at this time.

Pay
The projected range for this position is $76,913 - $98,888 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly. These ranges are for NY only.
