What You’ll Do
- Support electrical design, technical documentation, interdisciplinary coordination, and project delivery for water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Design electrical systems: Develop electrical, instrumentation, and control system designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and related infrastructure.
- Prepare technical deliverables: Support construction drawings, technical specifications, reports, and electrical design documentation using Revit, CAD, and/or BIM software.
- Perform engineering calculations: Complete calculations such as voltage drop, load studies, conduit and cable sizing, and standby generator sizing.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, project stakeholders, and senior engineers to develop integrated project solutions.
- Contribute to project planning, research, design development, and coordination across multiple design stages.
- Apply engineering standards: Work in alignment with Kennedy Jenks’ quality, safety, and engineering practices.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 4+ years of relevant experience designing power and power distribution systems, preferably for water, wastewater, industrial waste, or related infrastructure facilities.
- Technical knowledge: Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, power distribution systems including 120/208V and 277/480V, standby generator sizing, and CSI specifications.
- Licenses and professional registrations: EIT registration required in California; PE preferred or ability to obtain within 1 year.

Pay
Salary range for this position is anticipated to be between $105,000 and $150,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, and geographic location.
Schedule
Kennedy Jenks utilizes a hybrid model of home and office work, with a minimum of two days per week in the office.
