Staff Engineer
Responsibilities
- Handles projects as needed.
- Reviews projects as needed.
- Evaluates record for expanding the competency of newer staff.
- Reviews record for expanding the competency of experienced staff.
- Mentors PWB staff on PWB safety projects.
Requirements
- University Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or Physics from an accredited program.
- Directly related work experience.
- Detailed knowledge of the technical vocabulary common to the appropriate discipline.
- Working knowledge of conformity standards in use in areas of expertise.
- Demonstrated ability to apply project-handling concepts in use in areas of expertise, including application to complex, new, or unusual products.
- Working knowledge of industry issues, needs, and problems.
Qualifications
Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
Skills
Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
Benefits
Total Rewards: Estimated salary range for this position is $154,000-192,000, based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and other factors. Annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. Health benefits such as medical, dental, and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. Paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday (12 days), and sick time off (72 hours).
