About the role

The role involves building business relationships with clients to understand needs and drivers, developing solutions for complex engineering problems for existing client facilities, coordinating with local electrical utilities on project technical needs, conducting construction inspections and resolving electrical construction issues, starting up and testing major electrical equipment, leading projects including management of project schedules, budgets, and staffing on the Water Solution team, providing technical guidance on client standards and expectations to engineering and technician staff, supporting business development related to enhanced Electrical services, reviewing supplier submittals, acting as a liaison between the local design team, client and remote design teams for Electrical design, continuously learning and developing technical expertise/specialty area.

Responsibilities

  • Build business relationships with clients to understand needs and drivers.
  • Develop solutions for complex engineering problems for existing client facilities.
  • Cookordination with local electrical utilities on project technical needs.
  • Construction inspection and resolution of electrical construction issues.
  • Startup and testing of major electrical equipment.
  • Lead projects including management of project schedules, budgets, and staffing on the Water Solution team.
  • Provide technical guidance on client standards and expectations to engineering and technician staff in the regional design centers that are supporting project detailed design.
  • Serve as technical expert in electrical power distribution and miscellaneous plant electrical systems for client consultations.
  • Support business development related to enhanced Electrical services.
  • Review of supplier submittals.
  • Act as a liaison between the local design team, client and remote design teams for Electrical design.
  • Continuously learn and develop technical expertise/specialty area.

Requirements

Professional Engineer’s license in GA or another US jurisdiction, 5 years in electrical design, planning and construction services, Consulting and Water/Wastewater experience preferred, Experience in medium and low voltage power distribution equipment, including variable frequency drives and standby diesel generators, Power system analysis experience in SKM, ETAP, or other analysis software a plus.

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing or equivalent experience in Engineering work.
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience.

Skills

Preferred qualifications include Professional Engineer’s license in GA or another US jurisdiction, Consulting and Water/Wastewater experience, Experience in medium and low voltage power distribution equipment, including variable frequency drives and standby diesel generators, Power system analysis experience in SKM, ETAP, or other analysis software.

Schedule

Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
