About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Staff Development Infection Control Nurse to join our team at Bear Mountain at Sudbury. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting a culture of quality patient care and infection control practices throughout our facility.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective infection control practices across all departments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Provide educational training and resources to staff members on infection control principles, proper hand hygiene practices, and other related topics.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement in infection control practices and develop corrective action plans as needed.
- Collaborate with the Infection Prevention and Control Committee to develop and implement evidence-based infection control policies and procedures.
- Identify and address gaps in staff knowledge and skills related to infection control, and develop targeted training programs to improve competencies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement projects to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a LPN/RN Nurse.
- Strong understanding of infection control principles, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively educate and engage staff members.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address gaps in infection control practices.
