Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Preventionist - RN

About the role

The Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Preventionist (SDC/IP) at Rosebud Village is responsible for implementing measures to protect residents and staff from infections. They assess staff education needs, coordinate programs, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Additionally, they assist with new employee hiring and foster a supportive and engaging work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and address the education needs of nursing staff and residents regarding infection prevention practices.
• Coordinate and conduct education, skills competencies, training, clinical observations, and quality assurance audits as directed by the Director of Nursing Services.
• Support new employee hiring processes.
• Engage with staff to promote employee recognition and retention programs, and advocate for professional growth and development.

Requirements

• Active Indiana RN license or ability to obtain one.
• CDC Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Training or advanced training in infection prevention and control.
• Demonstrate C.A.R.E. values towards residents, family members, customers, and staff.
