Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the staff development program for the facility.
- Serve as the personnel health nurse and provide employee orientation.
- Conduct bloodborne pathogens and hazard communication standards training for new and existing staff.
- Act as the primary instructor for the Nurse Aide Training Program.
- Schedule and direct in-house continuing education and workshops.
- Assist nursing management with review of incident reports.
- Serve as charge nurse or supervisor during nursing emergencies.
Requirements
- Current RN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of five years' nursing experience in long-term care or nursing education.
- Strong ability to supervise staff, teach, and instruct.
- CPR certification required annually.
- Knowledge of personnel, department, and facility procedures, adhering to regulations.
- Genuine interest in geriatric nursing and providing quality care.
