Staff Dentist (Full-Time) - UT Dentists - UTHealth Houston Bellaire

UT Dentists, the clinical practice of UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry, is seeking an experienced, clinically accomplished general dentist to help launch and grow a new practice at UTHealth Houston Bellaire Station. This location brings primary care, medical specialty care, and dentistry together in one multidisciplinary setting, creating a rare opportunity to deliver coordinated oral and overall healthcare. Designed to provide a private-practice-caliber patient experience within a leading academic health system, the Bellaire Station practice will emphasize comprehensive care, clinical excellence, personalized service, efficiency, and long-term patient relationships.

About the role

The dentist will manage a broad patient population, including individuals with complex dental and medical needs, and will collaborate closely with dental specialists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. This opportunity is intended for a mature clinician with broad-scope general dentistry experience, strong diagnostic and treatment-planning skills, polished communication, and sound clinical judgment.

As part of the founding clinical team, the dentist will help establish the practice culture, clinical workflows, service standards, referral relationships, and approach to sustained growth.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based general dentistry care in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Manage patients with complex dental and medical needs.
• Collaborate with dental specialists, physicians, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Establish and maintain clinical workflows, service standards, and referral relationships.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the new practice.

Qualifications

Education and Training

• Graduation from a CODA-accredited dental school.
• Completion of a general dentistry residency.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Preferred

• 2+ years of experience.
• Forward-thinking attitude with a focus on prevention, quality, and value of care, and commitment to working in a public health setting.
• Fluency in Spanish, Vietnamese, or other foreign language.

Licensure and Credentials

• Unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Texas.
• Current CPR (BLS) certification.
• Valid DEA registration.
