About the Opportunity
The Staff Data Analyst role focuses on delivering high-impact insights to operations, product, and leadership teams to enhance business performance. This position serves as a strategic advisor, using advanced data analysis and reporting to influence executive decision-making and drive improvements in growth, margin, and retention.
Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic analytical partner to senior leadership and executive management.
- Proactively identify opportunities to optimize business performance and work with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
- Perform deep-dive exploratory data analysis using Jupyter Notebooks.
- Develop and maintain interactive data reporting tools using Python, Streamlit, and BigQuery-connected Google Sheets.
- Integrate AI-assisted tools and automation to enhance analytical workflows.
- Collect, clean, and model data from various sources ensuring accuracy.
- Conduct peer reviews of analytical code and methodologies to ensure quality.
Qualifications
- Over 7 years of experience in analytical, decision science, or advanced business intelligence roles with influence on senior management decisions.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Python (including Pandas, Numpy), Streamlit, SQL, dbt, and cloud data warehouses like BigQuery or Snowflake.
- Expertise with Jupyter Notebooks for data analysis and statistical validation.
- Experience with AI tools and workflow automation for coding and analysis.
- Ability to create business-facing reports using Google Sheets connected to cloud warehouses.
- Understanding of consumer tech business metrics such as LTV, retention, CAC, ARR, margin, and cohort analysis.
- Knowledge of secure data handling and customer privacy best practices.
- Proven ability to translate business problems into analytical approaches with measurable outcomes.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.

- Experience in financial planning, fintech, or consumer technology industries.
Pay and Compensation
- Base salary range: $170,000 - $200,000 plus bonus.
- Equity ownership in a rapidly growing company.
