Staff Data Analyst
About the role
We're seeking a Staff Data Analyst to support the Sports Game Science & Insights team. This role involves exploring, analyzing, reporting, and acting on data from our portfolio of titles (WWE 2K, PGA TOUR 2K). The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of game features and mechanics, and be able to translate business knowledge into actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Leverage a deep understanding of game features and mechanics to deliver actionable insights
- Support business narratives and develop business cases with effective data storytelling
- Use data and hypothesis-driven decision-making to drive future growth and customer lifetime value
- Build strong relationships with business functions and become a trusted partner
- Tailor outputs to meet stakeholder needs, including reports, visualizations, charts, and tables
- Gain an understanding of internal titles outside of our portfolio for benchmarking and comparison points
- Explore creative new ways of measurement to identify patterns and causal relationships
- Empower teams to track and analyze activity/productivity and support their research projects
- Lead the delivery of complex projects, manage changing priorities, and coach others to success
- Grow and develop best practices that contribute to both the team and wider business understanding of our players
Requirements
- A deep understanding of how game features and mechanics work
- The ability to translate product and business knowledge into deep analysis and actionable insights
- A proven track record of successfully leading the delivery of insights and analysis across business functions
- A passion for sports titles and video games
Qualifications
- Profound knowledge in SQL
- Great communication skills and the ability to make insights understandable and actionable for the business
- A high degree of proactivity and curiosity to understand, measure, and improve our understanding of our players and their behavior
- Understanding internal customer satisfaction as a key success factor
- Profound experience in data modeling (nice to have: data science language, such as Python or R)
- Experience in data visualization tools, such as Tableau

Pay
The pay range for this position in Novato, CA at the start of employment is expected to be between $133,900 and $180,000 per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
