Staff Data Analyst

About the role

Polymarket is seeking a Staff Data Analyst to join the Revenue and Strategic Insights team. Reporting directly to the Head of Revenue, this role will own the analytical infrastructure that provides clear, accurate, and timely insights into the business's performance.

The ideal candidate will thrive in an ambiguous environment and move quickly. They will be responsible for:

• Own executive and board-level reporting, including business reviews, KPI dashboards, and recurring performance summaries
• Maintain a daily pulse on business performance, proactively identifying trends, anomalies, and risks
• Conduct deep dives on user behavior, trading activity, market performance, and revenue drivers
• Evaluate the impact of product launches, pricing changes, marketing campaigns, and liquidity programs on key business outcomes
• Develop forecasting models and scenario analyses to support planning cycles, investment decisions, and resource allocation
• Collaborate with Product, Finance, Growth, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment on metric definitions, priorities, and analytical work
• Optimize reporting systems and processes to reduce manual work and improve the visibility of key insights

What you'll do

As the Staff Data Analyst, you will:

• Provide regular updates to senior leadership on business performance, growth, volume, revenue, and retention
• Identify areas of concern and provide actionable recommendations based on your analysis
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data-driven insights inform decision-making
• Present findings clearly and persuasively to executives, building confidence in your recommendations

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence, with a strong track record of working directly with senior stakeholders
• Proficiency in SQL, able to transform raw, complex data into clean, reliable analysis without extensive preparation
• Experience owning business-wide reporting and KPI frameworks, not just contributing to them
• A solid understanding of core business fundamentals, including acquisition, retention, order size, and monetization
• Ability to communicate findings clearly and concisely to executives, building confidence rather than confusion
• A high attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in your work and thoroughness in your analysis
