Staff CPA - Estate & Tax Planning

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior CPA and attorneys to develop comprehensive estate and tax planning strategies for clients.
• Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Aid in the administration of trusts and estates, providing guidance and support to clients throughout the process.
• Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all client interactions and financial documents.
• Communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and accessible manner to clients and team members.
• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and industry best practices to ensure clients receive the most current advice and strategies.

Qualifications

• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in Illinois.
• Experience in estate and tax planning, with a focus on trusts and probate matters.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with senior CPAs, attorneys, and clients to develop comprehensive strategies.
• Proven track record of preparing and reviewing tax returns in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Strong analytical skills to identify opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation.
• Excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate and organized client records.
• Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and accessibly to clients and team members alike.
