Staff Counselor

About the role

The Staff Counselor serves the Counseling Center Department at Cabell Huntington Hospital. This position reports to the Counseling Center Manager.

Responsibilities

• Serve counseling referrals
• Provide counseling services to individual adults, adolescents, and children, as well as couple and family therapy and group therapy
• Provide psychiatric intakes for new clients, arriving at accurate diagnoses, and keeping the psychiatric diagnoses updated
• Provide other services appropriate to the counselor’s training and licensure and according to the goals of the Counseling Center and needs of the community

Qualifications

Requires a Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, and a valid license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in West Virginia.

Pay

$40.00 - $45.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
