Job Duties
- Manage the full contract lifecycle for complex agreements, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, executing, and maintaining contracts.
- Analyze contract terms and conditions, identifying risks, obligations, and opportunities to improve financial and operational outcomes.
- Lead negotiations for complex or high-impact agreements, balancing business needs with risk management and compliance considerations.
- Interpret contract language and provide guidance to stakeholders to ensure proper execution and adherence to terms.
- Ensure accurate documentation, version control, and maintenance of contract repositories, including amendments, renewals, and updates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (e.g., legal, finance, procurement, operations) to resolve issues and align contract strategies with business priorities.
- Develop and enhance contract templates, processes, and standards to improve efficiency, consistency, and governance.
- Support data analysis and reporting related to contract performance, cost optimization, and service delivery outcomes.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and best practices for contract management across the organization.
- Provide guidance or informal mentorship to less experienced team members on contract practices and standards.
Essential Skills
- 6 - 8 years of experience in contract management, procurement, legal operations, or related areas.
- Strong expertise in contract lifecycle management, negotiation, and interpretation of contract terms.
- Ability to assess risk, compliance, and financial implications of contractual agreements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for addressing complex contract scenarios.
- Experience with contract management systems, repositories, and documentation practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to translate complex contract language for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and influence outcomes across cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in field relevant to role (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree).
