Staff Civil Engineer (EIT)

About the role

Andreasen Engineering, Inc. (AEI) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Technician with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in civil engineering design drafting. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and will be responsible for translating complex engineering and surveying data into accurate, high-quality construction documents and plans. This role is essential in supporting our commitment to engineering excellence and precision since 1952.

Responsibilities

• Produce complete and accurate sets of civil engineering plans, including site development, grading, drainage, utility (water, sewer, storm drain) plans, and erosion control maps, primarily using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Utilize core Civil 3D features, including working with Surfaces, Alignments, Profiles, and Pipe Networks.
• Ensure drawings meet engineering standards, municipal codes, and company quality requirements.
• Manage multiple assignments simultaneously and meet project deadlines.

Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in civil engineering design drafting.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ability to produce accurate and complete sets of plans for grading, drainage, site development, and utilities.
• Unwavering commitment to technical accuracy and precision.
• Foundational knowledge of basic civil engineering and land surveying principles and terminology.
• Strong time management skills.
