Civil Staff Engineer (EIT)

Responsibilities

  • Collect data and gather relevant information and documentation
  • Perform standard computations and analyses
  • Complete basic design tasks
  • Prepare drawings and visual aids
  • Absorb and assist with tasks such as preparing permit applications, drawings, and written documents
  • Prepare portions of project documentation
  • Review and edit specifications
  • Conduct research and investigations
  • Observe construction activities and field operations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field required
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
  • 0–5 years of civil design experience required; water resources-related experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and construction materials related to water resources projects
  • Ability to read, interpret, and communicate contract documents, plans, and specifications
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% per month
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment, lead tasks, work independently, and remain self-motivated
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required

Compensation Package

  • Pay Range: $66,000 - $101,800 (DOE)
