About the role

The State Auditor's Office seeks Staff Auditor Interns to assist with audits and special projects. Duties may include fieldwork, report preparation, and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Complete duties assigned by the Auditor In Charge (AIC)
  • Identify provisions of laws, regulations, contracts, or grants agreements relevant to audit objectives
  • Evaluate internal controls within the context of audit objectives
  • Plan the audit, prioritize areas, reassess areas, and modify the plan during the audit
  • Evaluate audit documentation to determine findings and recommendations
  • Perform other related work as assigned

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, business administration, or a related field
  • Desire to obtain a CPA license upon graduation (preferred, but not required)
