About the role
The State Auditor's Office seeks Staff Auditor Interns to assist with audits and special projects. Duties may include fieldwork, report preparation, and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Complete duties assigned by the Auditor In Charge (AIC)
- Identify provisions of laws, regulations, contracts, or grants agreements relevant to audit objectives
- Evaluate internal controls within the context of audit objectives
- Plan the audit, prioritize areas, reassess areas, and modify the plan during the audit
- Evaluate audit documentation to determine findings and recommendations
- Perform other related work as assigned
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, business administration, or a related field
- Desire to obtain a CPA license upon graduation (preferred, but not required)
