About the role

The Staff Auditor role is part of the Internal Audit team and is available on a remote basis. You will execute internal audit engagements, participate in external audits, and contribute to enhancing the internal audit function.

Responsibilities

  • Execute internal audit engagements, including planning, scoping, fieldwork, and reporting phases.
  • Audit Planning: Develop a risk-based audit work program through focused interviews.
  • Audit Fieldwork: Perform walkthroughs, testing, and analytical tests in accordance with the audit program.
  • Audit Report: Draft and share findings with auditees, obtain root causes, and develop remediation plans.
  • Participate in External Audit (EY) Direct Assist work, including testing and inventory counts.
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies indicating potential risks or control weaknesses.
  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports, including findings, recommendations, and action plans.
  • Collaborate with management and stakeholders to develop and implement corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Maintain oversight of implemented audit recommendations and provide guidance to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging risks to enhance the internal audit function.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to add value to the business.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or Operational related field.
  • 2-5 years work experience in operations or internal audit/public accounting experience.
  • CPA, CMA, or CIA preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Proven experience in internal auditing, risk management, or related fields, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and auditing standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective organizational skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills (work closely with management, auditees, external auditors, etc.) with strong verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Domestic and international travel approximately 30%.
