Job Profile Title

Vice Chair of Research and Director of Head and Neck Sciences for the Department of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level support to the Vice Chair, including coordinating complex schedules and multiple calendars.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Vice Chair and all internal and external parties.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and manage a complex calendar of internal and external committee and professional meetings.
  • Create and maintain a website for the research program, assist with grant preparation and administration, monitor expenses, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Support personnel recruitment efforts.
  • Maintain deadlines for committees and study sections, providing reminders for due dates of review materials.
  • Support seminars, visiting speakers, symposiums, and meetings.
  • Prepare and coordinate submission and renewal of Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) documentation.
  • Prepare slides and photographic figures for publication.
  • Complete all Program Project lab purchases and maintain an itemized inventory of lab supplies.
  • Manage records of all purchases and reimbursements.
  • Coordinate non-competitive renewal submissions for the program project grant budget periods.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and possess excellent written and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Access.
