Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of duties including answering phone inquiries, greeting campus community and visitors, and data entry.
  • Communicate consistent and timely information with tact and diplomacy, including understanding and following oral and written directions.
  • Greet campus community members and visitors by phone and walk-in inquirers, guiding them to the proper areas of the College if needed.
  • Serve as initial contact for faculty and students wishing to see Department Supervisor.
  • Research and prepare reports for supervisors, assisting other departments with projects as needed.
  • Prepare letters, memos, reports, and other correspondence for internal and external communication.
  • Cook up and distribute departmental mailings, file documents, and create necessary files for the department.
  • Accurately keyboard skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Schedule and cancel meetings using Google calendar.
  • Invoice processing and expense reporting for School of Arts, Science and Business.
  • Multi-task and perform duties with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, demanding environment with constant interruptions.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university.
  • Three years of related clerical experience involving frequent public contact.
  • Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.
  • Experience with Banner and Crystal reports.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
  • Climbing.
  • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
  • Body agility is emphasized.
  • Balancing.
  • Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling and walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
  • Sitting most of the time.
  • The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
  • The employee is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
