Staff Accountant (Joint Venture)

Unless specifically contracted, resumes from recruiting agencies are not being accepted for this position.****** We are seeking a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant (Joint Venture) who will be responsible for the preparation, review, and analysis of financial reports and statements for multiple real estate investment funds, joint ventures, and partnerships. The successful candidate will demonstrate accountability, accuracy, and attention to detail while effectively managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines. This individual will build strong relationships with stakeholders, exercise sound judgment and analytical thinking, and work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Responsibilities Prepare and review financial statements and investment reports for real estate investment funds, joint ventures, and partnershipsRead, interpret, and summarize partnership, fund, and joint venture investment agreementsAssist with preparation of annual audits in accordance with GAAPMonitor and manage portfolio accounts and related financial activityPrepare monthly and quarterly close entries, including general ledger account reconciliations, consolidations, and financial analysisCalculate joint venture fees and perform actual-to-actual and actual-to-budget variance analysesPrepare limited partner (LP) capital calls, distributions, investor financial reports, and capital statementsCommunicate directly with partners, investors, asset managers, and other stakeholdersPrepare ad hoc reporting and analysis as neededPerform other related duties and special projects as assigned Requirements Bachelor's degree in AccountingMinimum 2+ years of accounting experienceExperience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliationsStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPublic accounting experience and/or recent commercial real estate accounting experience preferredFamiliarity with MRI accounting software preferredAbility to multi‑task and prioritize workload in a fast‑paced environmentStrong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy The expected salary range for this position is between $65,000 and $75,000. The actual compensation will be based on factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, market and business considerations and other factors permitted by law.
