About the role
We are a family-owned, fast-growing commercial truck dealership representing Freightliner and Western Star. Our team is dedicated to supporting the needs of our customers and keeping the supply chain moving efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Aid the CFO and Controller in ensuring all accounts are up-to-date and accurately reconciled.
- Participate in the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and maintain prepaid expense schedules and related amortization entries.
- Prepare and reconcile commission calculations and supporting documentation prior to payroll processing.
- Reconcile complex general ledger accounts and investigate variances as needed.
- Compile information and prepare financial reports as requested.
- Prepare various daily/monthly/annual journal entries and general ledger schedules.
- Assist with annual review/audit requests and preparation of supporting documentation.
- Cross-train and provide support within AR, AP, Truck Billing, and General Accounting functions as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency within accounting functions.
- Provide guidance and support to less experienced accounting staff as needed.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of accounting or general ledger experience required.
- Strong understanding of month-end close and account reconciliation processes.
- Experience preparing journal entries and maintaining supporting schedules.
- Microsoft Office proficiency required, with strong Excel skills preferred.
- Ability to analyze data, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues independently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications

Pay
$70,000 - $80,000 annually, with salary determined based on experience, competencies, certifications, and education.
