Responsibilities
- Partner with the Billing team to prepare and record monthly journal entries, accruals, and other revenue-related accounting transactions.
- Own the month-end close process for assigned revenue streams, including preparing supporting schedules and ensuring timely completion of close deliverables.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
- Maintain and analyze revenue-related general ledger accounts, preparing monthly trend and variance analyses to support accurate financial reporting and management insights.
- Partner with Billing, Operations, Product, and Technology teams to evaluate revenue transactions, review contract terms, and support the application of GAAP and revenue recognition policies.
- Assist with quarterly and annual external reporting activities, including revenue disclosures, audit support, and control documentation.
- Analyze large and complex data sets to support accounting conclusions, reporting requirements, and process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with evaluating, testing, and implementing automation and AI-enabled solutions to enhance accounting processes, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency.
- Assist with special projects, system implementations, and other accounting initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 1+ year of experience preferred.
- Ability to understand accounting and financial processes, methodologies, concepts and have good knowledge of GAAP and willingness to research and resolve accounting issues.
- Advanced in Excel, MS Word, and Power Point software programs.
- Demonstrates a willingness to leverage emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and automation tools, to enhance productivity, improve reporting processes, and drive operational efficiencies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and processes and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to maintain work priorities in an environment with multiple concurrent tasks and projects.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work in an organized manner and consistently follow-up on tasks.
Qualifications
- Technical accounting experience and/or CPA are a plus.
- ASC 606 experience will be highly regarded.
- Big 4 (or similar audit experience) or strong experience in a full cycle corporate accounting atmosphere will be highly regarded.
