About the role
Bon Voyage Travel (BVT), a part of the arrivia family of brands, is expanding its accounting team in Tucson. We are seeking a Staff Accountant II who has mastered the foundational ledger, values precision, and wants to drive impact across our financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Own the Ledger & Close: Prepare and post monthly journal entries, make account adjustments, and drive the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Full-Cycle Collaboration: Support critical Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions as needed to maintain seamless operational cash flow.
- Deep-Dive Reconciliations: Perform comprehensive bank, credit card, and general ledger account reconciliations, ensuring full compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Data & Audit Analysis: Investigate account discrepancies, prepare financial reports for management review, and assist external auditors by providing clear workpapers and documentation.
- Process Improvement: Actively recommend process enhancements to increase speed, efficiency, and accuracy across our accounting systems.
Requirements
- Professional Experience: 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Core Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP, excellent attention to detail, and top-tier organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Technical Proficiency: High comfort level with personal computers, MS Office (especially advanced Excel), and ERP/accounting systems.
- Work Style: An independent worker who exercises sound judgment, handles multiple deadlines under pressure, and knows exactly when to proactively escalate issues to leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

$60,000 - $70,000 annually.
Schedule
