Staff Accountant / Bookkeeper

Job Summary

Platform Accounting Group is a rapidly growing professional services firm providing tax, accounting, assurance, IT consulting, and wealth management services to small and medium-sized businesses and their owners. We are seeking a Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper (Business Advisor) to join our team.

About the Role

As a Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper (Business Advisor), you will perform bookkeeping services for a variety of individual and business clients in a variety of industries. Providing the highest level of service and oversight to our clients is the foundation of our firm.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bookkeeping for a variety of clients on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Prepare and process client payroll and payroll taxes (W2, 1099, Quarterly returns, Annual returns)
• Perform general accounting duties including entering transactions and reconciling general ledger, credit card, and cash accounts
• Verify, complete and reconcile payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts
• Maintain accounts receivable for accuracy of financial reporting
• Utilize various accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, CFS) to prepare and file sales tax returns for business clients

Requirements

• 3+ years professional bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, strong analytical skills
• Proficient with accounting software, and ability to learn new systems quickly
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Proactive problem-solving and ability to self-manage projects
• Multi-State Payroll experience

Pay

The expected salary range for this role is $50,000 - $80,000 per year, which represents a good faith and reasonable estimate. Compensation decisions depend on numerous factors including bona fide qualifications and the facts and circumstances of each case at the time of hiring.
