Staff Accountant - Audi New Orleans

Job Description

The Staff Accountant ensures compliance with internal controls and dealership policies while working closely with the Controller, department managers, and leadership team on financial accuracy, reporting, and special projects as needed.

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for:

• Daily posting and reconciliation of cash, check, and credit card deposits
• Reconciling bank accounts, floorplan, and manufacturer statements
• Pasting and reconciling vehicle deals, commissions, and incentives
• Processing and reconciling accounts payable and receivable
• Maintaining accurate general ledger entries and supporting schedules
• Aids with month-end and year-end close
• Prepares and submits sales tax, payroll tax, and other required reports
• Supports audits and manufacturer financial reporting

Qualifications

• Preferred: 2+ years of accounting experience in a dealership business office
• Strong understanding of dealership accounting processes
• Experience with dealership DMS systems (CDK, Reynolds, Dealertrack)
• Solid knowledge of GAAP principles
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity

Additional Information

• Salary: $27.00 per hour
• Depends on qualifications
• Schedule: Full Time
• Monday through Friday availability
• May require weekends during end of month closure
