Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze monthly cost allocations and identify trends in cost components to support management decision-making.
- Perform month-end close activities, including accruals, journal entries, and preparation of financial statement packages in accordance with established closing schedules.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and supporting documentation on a monthly basis.
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries while ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Support accounting entries and review transactions for accuracy and completeness.
- Research and assist with accounting treatment and reporting requirements under U.S. GAAP and IFRS, coordinating with the Taiwan headquarters as needed.
- Review periodic payment reports and coordinate with Treasury to ensure timely disbursement of funds.
- Aid in tax-related documentation and filings in coordination with management and external advisors.
- Prepare schedules, reports, and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
- Maintain accurate financial records, reports, and general ledger accounts.
- Aid in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
- Participate in special projects and perform additional accounting-related duties as assigned.
- Ensure all assigned work is completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional departments and maintain strong internal relationships.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, or similarly sized organization. Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting required. Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Mandarin is a plus.
- Required Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting practices. Understanding of U.S. GAAP; exposure to IFRS is preferred. Experience using SAP and other accounting or ERP systems. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
