Staff Accountant

About the role

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with accounting leadership on financial analysis, process improvements, audits, and cross-functional initiatives in a collaborative environment. This is a hybrid opportunity. Candidates with strong retail accounting experience may be considered for a fully remote arrangement.

What You'll Do

• Support the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare variance analyses and assist with budgeting, reporting, and ad hoc financial analysis.
• Maintain fixed asset records, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other general ledger activities.
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash activity.
• Support external audits, tax-related reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, documentation, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and support business operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience; retail or consumer products experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
