Staff Accountant
About the role

Responsibilities
- Prepares and enters journal entries, as approved by the supervisor of assigned funds
- Monitored Funds
- Review assigned funds in the GL for accuracy and anomalies monthly
- Share results of review with the Finance Secretary and Fiscal Controller
- Separate and distribute monthly printouts on a timely basis
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation for assigned accounts
- Aid with preparation of internal and external audits, Consolidation, and Annual Command Review (ACR), as requested
- Backup to Accounts Receivable Clerk
- Prepare Service Unit reports, analysis and reconciliations
- Aid with fiscal closing tasks
- Perform duties for the Cash-Log related Income batch review and reconciliation
- Prepare annual insurance billings
- Prepare the Balance Sheet Analysis for all DHQ Funds monthly
- Research open items in various funds complete adjustments in a timely manner
- Prepare monthly financial reports for CFC, as requested
- Process Service Unit Reimbursements
- Review of all vouchers, income, journal, and debit memo batches for accuracy and protocol adherence
- Prepare reports which include, but may not be limited to Reserve Summary, Corps Grants Report, and the Insurance Report; to support coordination & reconciliation with the Corps records, as well as to support reporting needs related to the Consolidation
- Attend meetings as requested
- Perform other related duties as assigned, to support the Accounting Team
Qualifications
- Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required, Master's Degree a plus
- Work Experience: 8-10 years or more years experience in the accounting field, Non-Profit & Fund Accounting Experience, Preferred, Supervisory experience, a plus
- Other Qualifications: Excellent organizational skills, Working knowledge of accounting software, Serenic knowledge a plus, Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Analytical ability, Self-motivated, Must maintain a high level of confidentiality

Pay
$51,076.35 - $103,004.70 annually. While the full salary range is shown, we expect to hire within the $80,000 - $85,000 range, depending on experience and qualifications. *starting pay varies depending on experience and qualifications*
