Staff Accountant

Responsibilities
- Assists with the bi-weekly processing of tips and service charge for payroll.
- Reconciles, files, and pays Broadmoor Sales and Use Tax.
- Prepares both standard and non-standard monthly entries and runs Financial Statements.
- Reconciles the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to balance the associated fixed asset GL accounts.
- Prepares Bank Reconciliations.
- Reconciles balance sheet accounts monthly. Reviews with Controller.
- Affords assistance with the adaptations of worksheets to new/updated software systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with a concentration or emphasis on Accounting/Finance; or four years related experience and/or training demonstrating competency in related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite with an emphasis on Excel, computerized accounting systems (JDE/Oracle is helpful), and electronic point of sale systems.
- The ability to: Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. To deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. To read and analyze financial reports and respond to common inquiries from internal managers/directors. To effectively present information to top management and regulatory agencies. To define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. To interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
