Responsibilities
- Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and bank reconciliations
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial reporting
- Review accounts payable disbursements and allocate payments correctly
- Aid external auditors during audits
- Contribute to the preparation of state and local tax filings
- Stay informed about updates to accounting standards
- Utilize accounting technology efficiently
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Proven experience in accounting roles
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting
- Experience with maintaining general ledger and preparing financial statements
- Ability to work effectively with external auditors
- Familiarity with state and local tax regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
