Staff Accountant

About the role

Altocare is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a range of accounting and financial tasks ensuring the accurate reporting of all financial transactions.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
• Preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and assisting with the monthly close.
• Contribute to the development of operating budgets.
• Maintaining supporting documentation for all transactions.
• Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintaining subsidiary ledgers to support general ledger balances.
• Processing accounts payable invoices, verifying accuracy, and ensuring timely payments.
• Reviewing and categorizing expense reports and receipts.
• Providing support during the financial statement audit by preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (preferably SAGE Intacct) and Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Working with bank reconciliations.
• Strict attention to detail, highly organized, and efficient.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Meet deadlines timely.

Qualifications
