Staff Accountant

Job Duties & Essential Functions

• Aid the business analytics department with tasks related to dashboards and reporting.
• Collect and back up data for financial statement audits.
• Perform analysis and reporting on vendor data or other procurement-related tasks.
• Contribute to financial analyses such as common paymasters and leases.
• Assist with general accounting, finance, or reporting duties as needed.
• Support other projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Two or more years of accounting work experience.
• An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting accepted in lieu of two years of accounting experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pursuing an advanced degree in finance, accounting, or business analytics.
• Payroll experience.
• Cash Receipts/Deposits/Banking Experience.
• Accounting experience in an academic healthcare organization.

Physical Demands

• The position is largely sedentary and requires the employee to remain stationary for a majority of the day.
• Additional physical demands will be outlined and provided by management.

Summary

This position reports to the Accounting Manager and responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting in developing accurate and timely monthly financial statements, ensuring all cash receipts and deposits, journal entries, financial reports and reconciliations are accurately completed, and assisting in other reporting and accounting functions to support the general accounting office.

Full Time Days/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm

Pay

$66,129.44 - $72,699.12
