Staff Accountant

About the role

You'll help ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records while supporting the day-to-day accounting activities that keep the business running smoothly. Working closely with the accounting and finance teams, you'll play an important role in maintaining accurate financial reporting, supporting month end close, and helping the organization make informed financial decisions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and account analysis to support accurate financial reporting
• Aid in month end close, financial reporting, variance analysis, and maintaining compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Support fixed asset accounting, annual audits, and assigned accounting processes while helping identify and resolve discrepancies
• Contribute to special projects, accounting research, and process improvements that strengthen financial operations

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Accounting required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience with general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and financial reporting
• Understanding of GAAP and standard accounting practices
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency in accounting software
• Knowledge of financial reporting standards
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports
