Staff Accountant

Responsibilities
- Complete work in-person at our Dallas office every day during the probationary period and at least three days per week thereafter (hybrid work arrangement)
- Manage client budgets, billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
- Prepare journal entries, work papers, financial statements, and custom reports
- Reconcile bank and credit card account balances
- Complete payroll and sales tax returns
- Conduct financial analysis
- Interact and meet with clients
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of one year of professional work experience in accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with QuickBooks, Yardi, MRI, and CAM/RECs preferred
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proven analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Professionalism, dependability, integrity, and trustworthiness, combined with a cooperative attitude
- Initiative to seek out opportunities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to self‐manage workload responsibilities
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience with additional accounting software such as Yardi, MRI, and CAM/RECs
- Experience with financial analysis and reporting
- Experience with payroll and tax preparation
- Experience with client relationship management
