Staff Accountant
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Prepare and reconcile general ledger, balance sheet, and bank accounts.
- Aid with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including journal entries and accruals.
- Prepare P&L statements and provide commentary to the controller and CFO.
- Review and analyze accounts receivable aging reports, collaborating with internal teams to resolve outstanding balances.
- Process and apply customer cash receipts accurately and timely.
- Prepare financial analyses and supporting schedules for management.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 4+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and data analysis.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Self-motivated with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
