Responsibilities
- Record and reconcile daily cash receipts and deposits to ensure financial transactions are posted accurately and on schedule.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger activity to support complete and reliable financial reporting.
- Aid with month-end closing tasks, including account reconciliations, variance reviews, and documentation of supporting schedules.
- Manage sales and property tax reporting requirements by compiling data, preparing filings, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Review accounting records for accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues in coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Support corporate tax and other assigned accounting processes by organizing financial information and maintaining required documentation.
- Work within accounting platforms such as Prelude, NetSuite, or Oracle to process transactions, generate reports, and enhance day-to-day efficiency.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to address inquiries, provide financial information, and deliver high-quality internal services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- At least 3 years of accounting experience, or an equivalent mix of education, training, and practical experience.
- Hands-on experience with journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliation activities.
- Knowledge of sales tax, property tax, and broader corporate tax reporting responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail with a consistent focus on accuracy and follow-through.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.
- Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism and ethical standards.
