About the role
A well-established and growing private investment and real estate organization is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join its corporate finance team. This role offers broad exposure to corporate accounting, financial reporting, cash management, and consolidation activities while working closely with senior finance leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day corporate accounting activities and support the monthly close process.
- Prepare and post journal entries and assist with account reconciliations.
- Support the consolidation of multiple entities and ensure accuracy of consolidated financial information.
- Prepare detailed supporting schedules, workpapers, and financial reporting packages.
- Assist with monthly balance sheet and income statement reviews.
- Analyze financial results and investigate variances as needed.
- Monitor corporate cash activity and support cash forecasting efforts.
- Cook up intercompany transactions, allocations, and expense reporting across business entities.
- Review invoices and coding for corporate expenditures.
- Partner with finance, operations, and other internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial information.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and technology utilization.
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably within corporate accounting, financial reporting, or multi-entity environments.
- Experience with consolidations and intercompany accounting is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with ERP/accounting software; real estate industry systems experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
